
Camp Wright at Hulton was an army training camp located in Oakmont during the Civil War. Over 4,500 Pennsylvania Volunteers trained at the camp before marching off to war. Soldiers from Camp Wright fought in the many major battles of Civil War. On October14, 2018, the Oakmont Historical Society dedicated a historical marker on the site of the camp on Hulton Road.
