The Oakmont Historical Society was established in 2007 by a group of people interested in preserving the history of our community.

This society’s mission is to research, preserve and share the history of Oakmont.

Our organization was incorporated with the state of Pennsylvania in 2008 and is a 501-3C non-profit organization. The society is funded entirely by donations and member fundraising. We currently have a membership roster of over 230 people with members as far away as Florida and California.
